  • Down Of War Soulstorm Deutsch Patch
    카테고리 없음 2020. 2. 29. 18:23

UPDATE: Apologies for the absence of this guide. I recently reinstalled the mod myself, and I realized that the latest version made this guide horribly obsolete.

Thus, I decided it would be better to set the guide to hidden, rather than provide false information. Then my laziness got the better of me, so it took me a while to re write this guide. Again, apologies to any who were looking for help and could not find it, but now the guide has been properly updated, and I will do my best not to fall so behind again.Mod version 1.88.72 has been re-released as a full version, eliminating the need for a patch. Additionally, the Mod Manager has been updated. The guide has been updated accordinglyThese are the instructions for the installation of Ultimate Apocalypse for Soulstorm. Follow these to the letter, and there shouldn’t be any issues. This will be an organic document which will change as new updates are released.

Check back to see if anything has changed when you hear about new releases.REQUIREMENTSA couple things are needed before you begin modding your game.1ST THING: A clean install of Soulstorm. If you have not previously installed a mod on your Soulstorm before, no extra steps are required. If you HAVE installed a mod before (Like a previous version of UA) then there are few steps to take. First, uninstall Soulstorm. I should not need to explain to you how to do this.

Second, open file explorer. Go to the “This PC” tab on the left.

You should see a display of all of your data storage devices. In the little search bar on the top right, type in “Soulstorm” and let the search commence. This may take some time, depending on how many and how large your data drives are. When the search has completed, all files relating to Soulstorm that exist on your computer will be displayed. Delete ALL OF THEM.

Then you can reinstall the game as you normally would.2ND THING: Once you have a clean install of the game, you must run the game at least once. This will allow the graphics configuration to commence, and will ensure that the game is installed properly.3RD THING: You will need a file unpacking software. The best choices are either Winrar (which is what I use) or 7zip.

If you already have one, perfect. If not, I suggest using Winrar. Some of the links you find can look a bit sketchy, so use this link here:LAST THING: A working brain. If you’re missing one of these, I unfortunately cannot provide you with a working model. That’s it. Once you have those things, you are ready to begin modding. Below are the links to the necessary mods tools in order to make the game function properly. These may be downloaded in any order, although it is recommended that you download them individually to avoid file corruption if you have weak internet connection.Link 1-Ultimate Apocalypse mod, full release version (Currently 1.88.72)Link 2-CURRENTLY NO PATCH.

IGNORE THIS LINKLink 3-Tyranids mod, full version (Currently V.05b2)Link 4-Mod Manger (Currently 1.52)You will also need a file unpacker like Winrar or 7zip. Now I will guide you through the installation process step by step to ensure that your game is functioning properly. Unless you are simply patching to a new release, you should always begin this process with a clean, mod free Soulstorm directory. This guide will not account for other mods than the ones specified above.Veteran modders will be able to use the Instructions-Quick section. If you are new, or unsure about your skill with modding, a (painfully) detailed description will be provided for each step in the Instructions-Detailed section. So for those of you who feel unfamiliar with modding for whatever reason, or for those who tried installing using the quick version and things didn't work out, I'm now going to give a very, VERY detailed description on how to do this right. Its a lot to read, I know, but this WILL work, I literally did this process WHILE I was writing the detailed guide, so as long as you follow closely, nothing should go wrong.

If its still messed up after doing the install the detailed way, feel free to leave comment and I'll see if I can help further. It may be a broken file, a broken computer, or some other problem. Now, onto the guide. Open the.Zip file provided by Link 1. First, you will have to extract all the files from the.Zip folder. This can be done by simply dragging both files out of the Winrar window onto the desktop. The two files will be an.Exe file and a.7zip file.

You must ensure that both files are on the desktop, as they are dependent upon each other. Now, run the UA mod Installer (the.Exe file). A window will pop up, asking if you will allow the program to make changes to your computer. The installer will then display a splash screen with the UA logo. The mod installer will ask you to agree to terms and conditions. Press “I agree”. You will then need to direct the installer where to install the mod, which will be in your Soulstorm game directory.

    Dawn Of War Soulstorm Update

Now, when I did this myself, the installer was automatically able to detect where to install the mod. However, in the event the installer does not auto detect, you will have to do it manually. If you do not know where your Soulstorm directory is, the easiest way to find it is as followsA. Find Soulstorm in your Steam LibraryB. Right click it, then select “Properties” in the drop down menuC.

When the new window opens, select the “Local Files” tabD. Select the “Browse Local Files” optionThis will open your File Explorer directly to your Soulstorm directory. From here, click any open space in the address bar at the top (the one that looks like the address bar on your internet browser). This will show you the file path of your Soulstorm directory, as well as highlight it. Make sure you don’t click on any of the words in the address bar, that will mess things up, and you’re going to have to find your Soulstorm directory again.

Copy the path, and paste it into the address bar in the Ultimate Apocalypse Installer. (even if the installer automatically finds the correct path, it’s never a bad idea to double check) Do not close your File Explorer window, we’ll need to access your Soulstorm directory later. From here, click “Next” in the UA installer. The Installer will ask you which options to install. SELECT ONLY THE FIRST OPTION, THE MOD ITSELF. The other options will be covered later in this guide and can be deselected/ignored.

Once this is done, click 'Install'. The mod will now begin its installation process.

Once this is completed, click 'Close'.KEY NOTE: It is especially important that you DO NOT install the Mod Manager at this stage. Its an older version and some of its features are broken.

CURRENTLY THERE IS NO PATCH, THE CURRENT VERSION IS A FULL RELEASE ONLY. SKIP THIS STEPThat’s the tricky bit over with. Now we will apply the Ultimate Apocalypse patch, the file provided by Link 2. Open this file using either Winrar or 7zip. Do you still have that File Explorer window open? If not, once again, navigate to your Soulstorm directory.

Refer to the method outlined in Step One if you don't remember where you Soulstorm directory is. Once you have your Soulstorm directory open, highlight all the files in the UA patch folder, and then simply drag-and-drop them into your Soulstorm directory. MAKE CERTAIN YOU ARE NOT DRAGGING THEM INTO A FOLDER THAT IS ALREADY IN YOUR SOULSTORM DIRECTORY. DRAG THEM SOMEWHERE WHERE THERE IS EMPTY SPACE. Allow Winrar or whatever you use to copy the files over. Your File Explorer should ask you whether you would like to replace and overwrite some pre-existing files.

    Patch

Overwrite/Replace all files. That’s it, done with the patch.

You can close your Winrar/7zip window. Now we’ll be doing the Tyranid mod, brought to you by the letter L and the number 3 ( Link 3). This is another installer, so, first, open the installer. Once again, allow the program to make changes to your computer.

When the installer window pops up, it will give you its opening dialogue. Click “Next”. The next window will be a changelog. This is only relevant to the Tyranid mod itself, so you can ignore this. Click “Next” again. Now we should be at the part where it asks you where you want to install the mod.

This, again, goes into your Soulstorm directory. This installer may also auto detect your Soulstorm directory, but in the event it does not, we will once again have to fill in that info manually Assuming you still have your File Explorer window open, once again, simply copy and paste the file path from your Soulstorm directory, into the Tyranid mod installer’s address bar. Refer to Step One if you don’t remember how to do this. Once the file path is in place, click “Next” for the third time.

The installer review with you the install path you just set, so once you’re done reading through, click “Start”. Again, allow the installer to run its course. This mod is much smaller than the UA full, so it shouldn’t take nearly as much time. Once it has finished, just click “Exit”.

Almost done folks. Now we will do the Dawn of War Mod Manager.

It has been pointed out to me that the Mod Manager that is included with the UA installer is borked, so we will have to do this part manually. Some of you may have already installed this version, and I will explain how to unbork your game. First, download the working Mod Manager from Link 4. This is where the instructions split.IF YOU ARE INSTALLING OVER THE PREVIOUS VERSION: First, you must first erase the old Mod Manger. This is a fairly simple process. First, open up your Soulstorm directory.

You should know how to do this by now, but if you've forgotten, refer to step one. Once you have opened the directory, you need to look for two separate files. The first is the Mod manager itself, 'DoW Mod Manager 1.5', and the second is a file folder, 'DoW Mod Manager Resources'. These must be deleted. I assume you know how to delete files off your computer. Now we can move on to the instilation of the new Mod Manager.IF YOU ARE FRESHLY INSTALLING THE MOD MANAGER, OR ONCE YOU HAVE DELETED THE OLD VERSION: First you will open the file you downloaded from Link 4.

This is another 7z file, so when you open it, you will see 2 files, the Mod Manager itself and its resource folder (These should look familiar if you just deleted the old versions). All we have to do with these is drag and drop them into your Soulstorm directory. Once again, refer to step one if you don't remember how to find that.

Once you have copied these files into your Soulstorm directory, you should make a shortcut to the desktop for the mod manager, as this is how you will be starting the game most of the time. Most of you will know how to do this, but for those who don't, the easiest way to do so is as follows. Find the Mod Mod manager in your Soulstorm directory, and right click on it.

This will open a drop down window. Mouse over the 'send to' option, which will open a second dropdown window. Click on 'Desktop (Create Shortcut)'. This will complete the instillation process for the Mod Manager. Last step folks. Run the Mod Manager, preferably from the desktop shortcut you just created. When you first run the mod manager, there are two sub-windows that you will initially see.

On the left, you will see 'Currently Installed Mods'. In this window, make sure that 'Ultimate ApocalypseTHB' is selected. On the right, you will see 'Required Mods'. Assuming you followed this guide and that none of your files were corrupted, everything here should be green. If this is the case, press the 'START MOD' button in the top right. After you run the mod initially to ensure everything is functioning properly, there are a couple options in the mod manager you may wish to enable.

    Deutsch

In the top middle, there is a 'TOGGLE LAA' button. This allows the game to access more of your computer's memory. If you are encountering frequent crashes, enable this, and that should drastically reduce crashing.KEY NOTE: If you want to play multiplayer with your friends, you will have to ensure both of you either have this enabled, or disabled.

I suggest the former.Secondly, in the left there are some 'advanced start options'. '-nomovies' may be enabled by default, this will skip the intro cinematics before the game loads. This is the only option I would recommend leaving enabled, but the other two I would keep off, for multiplayer compatibility reasons. If you see that FreeUI is red, (That means its missing) don't worry about it, it is optional and UA will function perfectly fine without it.

    Dow Soulstorm Mods

Well I hope this guide, either Quick or Detailed, was able to help you get your mod working. I know this process is awfully complicated, but its worth it.If you want to be able to play with your friends, I recommend sharing this guide with them, so they will have installed exactly the same way as you, and thus will reduce Sync Errors. If you've followed this guide and for any reason the mod or any of its components don't seem to be working, or have any other questions or want to point out something I may have missed, please leave a comment and I'll get back to you ASAP.Once again, I apologize for keeping this guide hidden for so long.

Procrastination and laziness is a real ♥♥♥♥♥. Thank you all for the support and engagement you have all shown for this guide, and I hope I can continue to help you all enjoy this mod. That's the issue though, When I installed UA, I made sure it went directly in Program Files (86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/DoW Soulstorm, and made sure there were no mods prior, I've never used any mods before, only Titanium Wars for Dark Crusade.Come to think of it, when I started the UA installer, IIRC I selected not just the mod itself, but the mod manager and the tyranid mod which said (Required!). I didn't touch anything, only next, maybe I forgot to follow through with your guide during that step, perhaps that's the issue?

Have you two bought the game outside Germany but are playing it inside Germany? If not, then I'm not really interested in your answers.Because IP blocks for.running. the game do exist in Steam, so I'm wondering if this is the case here. It explicitly says 'Customers in Germany'. Other games that are restricted in the way you mention do have different wording.Specifically THQ is known to not even let you activate some games of theirs in Germany, no matter where you bought it, so I don't trust them.
